10 celeb-approved styling hacks to try this spring

Your cool girl spring starts here.

Spring is officially upon us, and with it comes all the fun of reinventing your wardrobe for the summer months. While a little shopping spree never hurts, we’re here to help you style from your own wardrobe with equal ease. And who better to look to for ultimate styling inspiration than some of our favourite celebrities. From Kendall Jenner's layering trick to the lessons we can learn from Zara Larsson’s on-stage style and beyond, we’ve rounded up the styling tricks to steal from some of our It-girl muses.

Layering T-shirts like Kendall

Taking cues from the runways, Kendall Jenner’s layering of a long sleeve with a short sleeve over the top is perfect for that in-between weather. Don’t be afraid to mix it up with colour combinations—we love chartreuse and lilac, or chocolate brown with powder blue—and pair with a neutral pair of pants for a pop of personality. Or, make like Kendall in a chic monochromatic mood.

Belts over tops like Taylor

Belts are being worn anywhere but on our pants these days. Whether it’s a big chunky belt layered over a miniskirt, or multiple belts all looped around our hips, belts are here to have fun with. For a more polished look on spring work dressing, take a trick from Taylor Swift’s book and pop a belt over a crisp shirt to help accentuate your waist and give a pop of texture into otherwise pretty classic outfit.

Flip flops for everything like Jennie

Take it from the Copenhagen girls—or Jennie—that it’s going to be a big flip flop summer, so why wait? We love pairing a simple thong with basically any outfit. It grounds the look and gives it a casual feel, perfect for the warmer weather.

Push up your sleeves like Hailey

Who would have thought something as simple as pushing up your sleeves could be such an effective styling hack? Playing to the trend of three-quarter length sleeves, but using a long sleeve top you already own, we love how this simple trick can instantly give your outfit a cool girl edge.

A pop of (faux) fur like Zoe

Just because it’s spring doesn’t mean we need to forget our love of faux fur. A faux fur collar around an otherwise simple spring outfit can warm it up, both literally and sartorially, and allow transeasonal dressing to ease into the warmer months. Plus, there’s nothing chicer than a fur stole!

Rhinestones like Zara

We’re not suggesting to go full ’00s queen like our muse Zara Larsson's on stage outfits, but we are taking cues from her sparkling style as we make our way into summer. Glitter on the eyes, or glitter on the jeans… we love them both equally!
